It’s been a year since I started working for Blue Ocean - and a little more than a year before I interviewed for the role. It was a unique opportunity to be a part of the founding team of a company, and I was equally excited and anxious about it.

Looking back now after a year, we have come such a long way since then and I catch myself reflecting on that quite often recently. A year ago we were thinking about what to call the business, where to put the warehouse, and how to even service a pool! Then, when we got started in January - having our first 10 clients was so exciting! Then our first 20! Before we knew it, we needed to hire another technician!

I’m so grateful and feel so blessed for all of our clients from the first batch of customers that trusted us to those that signed up for services even yesterday.

This company has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally, which is not something I can say for every job. I wake up in the morning saying, “I get to go to work today!” Not, “I have to go to work today.”

I’m so glad to have found a career here and I have our clients and team to thank for that because, without them, none of this would be possible.

So, thank you to all of our wonderful clients for believing in us from the beginning, telling your friends and neighbors about us, learning with us, and growing with us!
